Cape Coral Museum of History is celebrating our country\u2019s 250th anniversary with a new exhibit. <\/p>\n

Salute to America \u2013 250th Anniversary exhibit is centered around the key moments that shaped America over the last 250 years. <\/p>\n

The exhibit\u2019s display begins in 1776 with the signing of the declaration and continues through the years including World War I and II, Apollo 11, and many more interesting moments. <\/p>\n

The Cape Coral Museum of History also called on the public to assist in the exhibit that pays homage to 250 years of independence for the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The museum sourced photographs from residents of American flags flown in Cape Coral \u2014 from local car dealerships and businesses, to ones flown in front yards.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The photos contributed to a mosaic representing the American Flag. <\/p>\n

The museum sought out 250 photographs, each symbolizing a year in America\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

The museum recently had a preview event and Uncle Sam delivered invitations to invites all over town. <\/p>\n

He may even be at the museum when you visit. <\/p>\n

Cape Coral Museum of History Executive Director Janel Trull said the exhibit is titled \u201cSalute to America \u2014 250th Anniversary\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The temporary exhibition is on display as part of a regular museum tour now through the end of the year.<\/p>\n

The Cape Coral Museum of History is at 544 Cultural Park Boulevard, Cape Coral.<\/p>\n
