Real Estate developer, Kolter Homes posted the news on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolterhomes.com\/news\/costco-is-bringing-more-convenience-to-port-st-lucie-and-the-treasure-coast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">website.<\/a>\u00a0 Construction and opening dates have not yet been announced, the proposed store has generated excitement among Treasure Coast residents, many of whom have long traveled to Palm Beach County for the nearest Costco.<\/p>\n<p>The planned 170,000-square-foot warehouse will be built on about 22 acres east of Southwest Village Parkway and south of Southwest Marshall Parkway. The project will be located adjacent to Costco\u2019s 1.87-million-square-foot cold and dry storage depot, creating a major retail hub for the membership warehouse giant.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1983 by James Sinegal and Jeffrey Brotman, Costco has grown into one of the world\u2019s largest retailers, operating more than 900 warehouses across 14 countries.
