ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. \u2014\u00a0Just hours after more than 200,000 people gathered for the 29th annual Red Hot & Boom, Cranes Roost Park<\/a> was back to normal.<\/p>\n

City crews worked to clean up the park following Altamonte Springs\u2019 Independence Day celebration, allowing visitors to return Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

For Altamonte Springs resident, Edwin Clark, that\u2019s exactly what he has come to expect.<\/p>\n

Clark served 22 years in the Air Force before retiring to Altamonte Springs 10 years ago. He says a walk around Cranes Roost Park has become part of his daily routine, and he\u2019s been walking the trails for about six years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like to come over here like six days a week. I run, I walk every day except Sundays. Sometimes I just go around lake here, and sometimes some days I go on the outskirts of the lake all the way up to Douglas Avenue,\u201d Clark said.<\/p>\n

By Saturday morning, the crowds were gone, and the park looked much like it does any other day.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis park is always clean. They keep it immaculate year round so it doesn\u2019t matter the event. I love it here because of the view,\u201d Clark said.<\/p>\n

While the park was ready for visitors again, Altamonte Springs City Manager, Frank Martz, said the city\u2019s work is far from over.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll have after action reports. We\u2019ll start talking about what worked, what didn\u2019t, what do we have to change. So that\u2019s what we do every year. You know, I think there are a lot of really unknowns and unanswered questions about next year. But we do know development is happening,\u201d Martz said.<\/p>\n

Martz said city leaders will now review this year\u2019s event, look at how the area continues to grow and begin planning for next year\u2019s 30th Red Hot & Boom<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a tradition, you know, and times change, and we\u2019re looking at what we\u2019re going to do in the future and how we can continue to evolve and be responsible and make sure that we, at the same time, do things that bring our community together,\u201d Martz said.<\/p>\n
