These are the lies we\u2019ve heard Team Members tell at Universal Orlando.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ride Will Be Back Up Shortly\u201d<\/p>\n

Universal Team Members have shared a bit of a secret with us \u2014 when they say \u201cthe ride will be back up shortly,\u201d they probably don\u2019t know when the ride is coming back up. \u201cShortly\u201d could mean anywhere from 5-15 minutes to \u201cgoing to be down for hours.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry<\/p>\n

In fact, if you\u2019re visiting Universal Orlando and a ride goes down, you\u2019re probably not going to get a solid time estimate from Team Members. This is to make sure they\u2019re not giving guests false hope or creating mass crowds hovering around the ride entrance to swarm the queue when it reopens.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Men in Black: Alien Attack<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re hoping that a ride will come back up soon, it\u2019s a good idea to stay in that general area of the theme park and maybe do other things like shop or grab a snack while you wait. You can also check the Universal Orlando app to see when rides come back up.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuest Services Can Help You\u201d<\/p>\n

If you find yourself with some kind of issue in the parks, whether related to your park ticket, your reservations, or anything else, it\u2019s a good idea to speak to a Team Member and see if you can get it resolved. But often, if those Team Members can\u2019t solve it straightaway, they\u2019ll send you to Guest Services.<\/p>\n

Now, they may tell you that Guest Services can help, but the truth is that they\u2019re\u00a0hoping\u00a0Guest Services can help. Thankfully, we\u2019ve found the folks over at Guest Services to be incredibly skilled at solving problems and very kind. The customer service is unmatched, even if your problem goes unresolved! (But hopefully, you won\u2019t have to stop by Guest Services at all during your trip \u2014 it happens pretty rarely.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Ride Is Just As Good As Its Predecessor\u201d<\/p>\n

Some Universal Studios Florida rides have seen a few iterations at this point, and it\u2019s no secret that a few of the current options aren\u2019t exactly fan favorites. You may find yourself heading into spots like Fast & Furious: Supercharged, The Simpsons Ride, or Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon and asking the Team Members if the ride is \u201cgood\u201d or \u201cas good as its predecessor\u201d that you loved.<\/p>\n

The Team Member at the attraction will likely nod and smile and assure you that it\u2019s a \u201cgood\u201d ride. But folks, this is their JOB. They don\u2019t want to discourage you from doing the attractions, even if they themselves don\u2019t enjoy them or they\u2019re not popular.<\/p>\n

And you know what? Just because a ride has a few haters doesn\u2019t mean that you\u2019ll dislike it too. It could be your new favorite attraction! We try to encourage our readers to try new things \u2014 you never know what you might truly enjoy!<\/p>\n

\u201cYour Wait May Not Be Shorter in the Single Rider Queue\u201d<\/p>\n

There are several single rider queues throughout Universal Orlando, and when you get in line, you may have a Team Member warning you that they\u00a0might\u00a0not get you on the ride faster. This is typically something they say just to set expectations in case the wait time is long.<\/p>\n

Usually, the waits in the single rider line are at least a little bit shorter than the standby queue, but the Team Members don\u2019t want to get your hopes up too high or deal with too many angry guests who thought they\u2019d be waiting 5-10 minutes. The goal here is to make sure you know that your experience may vary with single rider lines.<\/p>\n
