{"id":331877,"date":"2026-07-07T14:46:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T14:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/331877\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T14:46:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T14:46:09","slug":"tampa-developer-bringing-63000-square-foot-urban-marketplace-to-nocatee-next-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/331877\/","title":{"rendered":"Tampa developer bringing 63,000-square-foot &#8216;urban&#8217; marketplace to Nocatee next year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Tampa-based developer is bringing its thriving \u201cHub\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/sjcitizen.com\/40000-square-foot-office-condo-complex-proposed-for-nocatee-area\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">concept to Nocatee.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project is planned as a 63,225-square-foot \u201curban\u201d marketplace with restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues, according to an announcement from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccdev.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Center Connect <\/a>Development.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The center is expected to open in 2028 next to Publix in Marketplace at <a href=\"https:\/\/sjcitizen.com\/risotto-redux-catullos-replacement-revealed-in-nocatee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Nocatee<\/a>, west of Valley Ridge Boulevard South.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Center Connect has introduced similar Hub-branded projects in the Tampa area, including The Hub at Bexley in Land O\u2019 Lakes and The Hub at Lexington in Wesley Chapel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bexley project is described by the developer as a 50,000-plus-square-foot lifestyle center with outdoor entertainment, dining and shopping in a master-planned community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/news.nocatee.com\/new-shopping-dining-and-entertainment-destination-coming-to-nocatee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Nocatee version <\/a>appears to follow a similar model: a suburban retail center designed less like a traditional strip plaza and more like a gathering place, with businesses arranged around a shared outdoor space.<\/p>\n<p><img data-od-added-loading=\"\" data-od-removed-fetchpriority=\"high\" data-od-replaced- data-od-xpath=\"\/HTML\/BODY\/DIV[@class='elementor elementor-74 elementor-location-single post-21853 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-news category-real-estate tag-featured-1']\/*[1][self::DIV]\/*[1][self::DIV]\/*[1][self::DIV]\/*[10][self::DIV]\/*[7][self::FIGURE]\/*[1][self::IMG]\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/noc-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Nocatee sign\" class=\"wp-image-2379\"   data-eio=\"p\"\/>A Nocatee mural in the community\u2019s Town Center. (Artist Lauren Klose)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conceptual site plan for The Hub at Nocatee shows multiple retail buildings centered around an open-air courtyard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plans call for outdoor seating, weekend live music and events, and dedicated golf cart parking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nocatee has flourished around a mix of neighborhoods, schools, and parks, drawing residents from across the region and helping fuel demand for more dining and retail options.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe see The Hub at Nocatee as a place that will bring people together in a meaningful way,\u201d said Paul Bissett, developer of The Hub at Nocatee. \u201cOur goal is to create a welcoming environment that supports everyday needs while also offering a lively destination for dining, shopping, entertainment, and community events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No tenants were named in the announcement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional details about The Hub at Nocatee are expected to be released at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Tampa-based developer is bringing its thriving \u201cHub\u201d concept to Nocatee.
