GAINESVILLE, Fla. \u2013 Former Florida Gators star right-handed pitcher Logan Shore will be inducted into the UF Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 2026 class this upcoming October.

\nThe 2026 UF Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet is scheduled for Friday, October 9 prior to the Gators’ Homecoming football game against South Carolina. The F Club Committee chooses UF Athletic Hall of Fame inductees based on three categories: Gator Greats, Distinguished Letterwinners\u00a0and Honorary Letterwinners. Gator Greats are Letterwinners who brought recognition and prominence to the University of Florida and themselves by their athletic accomplishments as a student-athlete.

\nSelected to the UF Athletic Hall of Fame as a Gator Great, Shore established himself as the ace of Florida Gators baseball from the moment he arrived in Gainesville by anchoring the pitching staff throughout one of the most successful stretches in program history. A model of consistency and competitiveness, Shore served as Florida’s Friday night starter during all three of his collegiate seasons from 2014-16.
\n\u00a0
\nShore quickly emerged as one of the nation’s top pitchers as a freshman in 2014, earning Louisville Slugger and NCBWA Freshman All-America honors while also being named SEC Freshman of the Year. He finished his rookie campaign with a 7-4 record, career-low 2.16 ERA and 68 strikeouts to 20 walks in 95 2\/3 innings.

\nIn 2015, Shore went 11-6 with a 2.72 ERA across a career-high 112 1\/3 frames and became the first pitcher in school history to earn two victories in a single College World Series. His ability to deliver in the biggest moments continued throughout his junior season in 2016, when he solidified his status as one of the elite arms in college baseball by producing an outstanding 12-1 record, 2.31 ERA, .215 batting average against and 96-to-19 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 105 1\/3 innings.

\nShore earned 2016 SEC Pitcher of the Year honors and was named First Team All-SEC for the second time in his career after previously receiving the recognition in 2014. He was also named a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award, presented annually to the nation’s top collegiate baseball player, while earning First Team All-America honors from every major outlet. The NCBWA additionally recognized him as the 2016 District III Player of the Year.

\nAmong the signature performances of his career were two memorable shutouts during the 2016 season. The first complete-game shutout of his career came against No. 6 Miami, while his second – a 6-0 victory over Georgia – marked his school-record, 13th-consecutive win.

\nBy the conclusion of his career, Shore ranked second in Florida history with 30 victories and seventh with 248 strikeouts. The Coon Rapids, Minn. native finished with a 2.41 ERA, .231 batting average against and 313 1\/3 innings pitched in 53 games.
