{"id":332071,"date":"2026-07-07T17:53:21","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T17:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/332071\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T17:53:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T17:53:21","slug":"keyah-lands-38m-to-reposition-miami-beach-hotel-into-a-starwood-brand-commercial-observer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/332071\/","title":{"rendered":"Keyah Lands $38M to Reposition Miami Beach Hotel Into a Starwood Brand \u2013 Commercial Observer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/keyah-real-estate-group\/\" title=\"Keyah Real Estate Group\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Keyah Real Estate Group<\/a> has nabbed $38 million to reposition a Miami Beach hotel, which will be branded after Starwood\u2019s Treehouse Hotels, property records show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The adaptive reuse project will combine hotels that date back to the 1940s: the former Haddon Hall Hotel at 1500 Collins Avenue and the Campton Apartments at 1509 and 1515 Washington Avenue in South Beach\u2019s Art Deco district.<\/p>\n<p>SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/?p=573444&amp;preview=true&amp;preview_id=573444\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bravo Property Trust Lends $68M on New Jersey Waterfront Apartments Project<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/maxim-credit-group\/\" title=\"Maxim Credit Group\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maxim Credit Group<\/a> provided the financing, increasing a $15 million loan issued in 2024 by $23 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Aventura-based developer purchased the hotels, which sit on a 1.8-acre site, this year for an undisclosed amount. Last year, Miami Beach officials <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/2025\/01\/hotelier-aims-to-redevelop-art-deco-landmark-in-miami-beach\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">approved<\/a> plans to combine the properties into a 262-room hotel, which is expected to open in 2029.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy reimagining these historic buildings through a modern lens, the property creates an experience that respects Miami Beach\u2019s architectural heritage while still feeling fresh, relaxed, and unmistakably Treehouse,\u201d Raul Leal, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/starwood-hotels\/\" title=\"Starwood Hotels\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Starwood Hotels<\/a>, said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The endeavor marks the first Miami Beach project since Barry Sternlich\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/starwood-capital-group\/\" title=\"Starwood Capital Group\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Starwood Capital Group<\/a> regained the rights to the Starwood Hotels brand last year, after a decade under the ownership of Marriott International. Besides the Treehouse name, the entity includes 1 Hotels and Baccarat brands.<\/p>\n<p>The financing comes as another hotel on Washington Avenue has struggled.
