This playground marks the 5th of 11 playgrounds in the city getting renovated<\/p>\n

ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 The City of Orlando reopened the newly renovated playground at Leroy Hoequist Park on Thursday \u2014 the fifth in a series of 11 playground upgrades the city says it\u2019s committed to delivering.<\/p>\n

The updated playground includes a larger play area and new equipment, including more slides and swings, designed for children of different ages.<\/p>\n

The park also now has new shade structures to give families relief from the summer heat.<\/p>\n

City officials said an improved drainage system was added to help reduce flooding, keeping the playground usable year-round \u2014 even after heavy rain.<\/p>\n

Orlando leaders say additional park improvements are expected to roll out across neighborhoods over the next two years.<\/p>\n
