The facility, developed in partnership with and located at the college\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fscj.edu\/campuses\/south-campus\/fas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fire Academy of the South<\/a>, will provide hands-on, rail-focused training for first responders, railroad personnel and public safety partners.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The site includes 1,200 feet of track, freight and tank cars, specialized training props and scenario-based learning environments that replicate real-world rail conditions, CSX officials said in a press release. Courses offered will include a combination of classroom instruction and live exercises.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re proud that this institute supports a full range of training, from foundational awareness to emerging tools like drone-assisted incident management,\u201d said CSX President and CEO Steve Angel. \u201cSafety doesn\u2019t begin when something happens.
