A Florida airport was renamed after Donald Trump on Thursday, accelerating a push by the US president and supporters to plaster his name and image on everything from national landmarks to banknotes.<\/p>\n

The Republican leader\u2019s son Eric celebrated by landing in the private family Boeing 757 \u2013 the so-called \u201cTrump Force One\u201d \u2013 at what had been known as Palm Beach International Airport for nearly half a century.<\/p>\n

\u201cA beautiful day,\u201d a grinning Eric Trump said on Fox News at the newly minted President Donald J. Trump International Airport, a short drive from the family\u2019s Mar-a-Lago golf resort and compound.<\/p>\n

The airport renaming was signed into law by Florida\u2019s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s anybody more synonymous with Palm Beach than Donald Trump and maybe all of Florida,\u201d Eric Trump said. He pointed out that the main road leading out of the airport is already called \u201cPresident Donald J. Trump Boulevard\u201d.<\/p>\n
