{"id":33481,"date":"2025-11-04T23:20:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T23:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/33481\/"},"modified":"2025-11-04T23:20:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T23:20:07","slug":"donna-adelson-files-notice-of-appeal-for-murder-conviction-and-sentencing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/33481\/","title":{"rendered":"Donna Adelson files notice of appeal for murder conviction and sentencing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DOWNTOWN TALLAHASSEE, FL \u2014 The woman who was found guilty of being the mastermind behind the murder for hire plot in the shooting death of her former son-in-law is appealing her conviction.<\/p>\n<p>Donna Adelson was<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wtxl.com\/downtown-tallahassee\/markel-murder-day-6-of-the-donna-adelson-trial-more-witnesses-expected-to-testify\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> found guilty in September<\/a> for first-degree murder, solicitation, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the shooting death of her former son-in-law, Dan Markel. Markel was shot and killed in July 2014.
