ALREADY TALKING ABOUT BACK TO SCHOOL. OKAY, IT IS 517 AND IT’S ALREADY HOT. IT’S VERY HOT. SO A COUPLE PEOPLE WERE ASKING YESTERDAY, ALL RIGHT, THIS SUMMER, LET’S TALK ABOUT THIS. SEEMS LIKE IT’S HOTTER THAN NORMAL. AND SO I HAD TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE. AND YOU KNOW, IF I PUT THAT WORK IN, I’M GOING TO TAKE YOU ON THE JOURNEY WITH ME. SO THIS SUMMER, 76% OF THE DAYS HAVE BEEN AT OR ABOVE 93 DEGREES, WHICH IS WARMER THAN OUR WARMEST HIGH TEMPERATURE AVERAGE. OKAY. THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN TWO SUMMERS HOTTER 1998 AT 89% OF THE DAYS AT OR ABOVE THE WARMEST AVERAGE TEMPERATURE, AND 1927 AT 84. SO WE’RE IN THIRD PLACE FOR THE HOTTEST SUMMER. WITH THAT METRIC. I THOUGHT IT WAS KIND OF INTERESTING. NOW I CAN’T GO BACK TO 1927 TO FIND IT. EL NINO, LA NINA, WE DIDN’T KEEP THAT RECORD THERE, BUT 98 WAS AS OF NOW, ONE OF, IF NOT THE STRONGEST EL NINOS ON RECORD. SO IT KIND OF TRACKS RIGHT FOR TODAY, WE’LL HIT 98 DEGREES, THE RECORD HIGH IN ORLANDO IS 99, SO I THINK WE’LL FALL JUST SHY. BUT TO PUT IT INTO PERSPECTIVE, THE ALL TIME JULY HOTTEST TEMPERATURE IN ORLANDO IS 101. I’M REALLY HOPING WE DON’T GET THERE, BUT WE’RE GOING TO BE IN THE BALLPARK, RIGHT? THAT’S ONE OF THE REASONS WHY WE’RE CALLING THIS IMPACT WEATHER, BECAUSE WE HAVE HEAT ADVISORIES FOR OUR ENTIRE AREA. BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS IT HOT, BUT OBVIOUSLY THERE’S HUMIDITY HERE AT THE SURFACE AND THE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES LOOK LIKE THIS 108 IN ORLANDO, 109 IN CLAREMONT. 112 THIS AFTERNOON IN DELAND, AND ABOUT 110 IN BITHLO WINFIELD JR. SO HERE’S FUTURECAST. WHAT WE COULD USE IS A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN, BUT WE’RE NOT GOING TO GET MUCH OF IS A LITTLE BIT OF RAINFALL THROUGH ABOUT 3:00. WE’LL POP UP A FEW AREAS OF RAINFALL HERE OR THERE, SHOWERS, MAYBE A THUNDERSHOWER DINNER TIME THROUGHOUT BEDTIME. BUT EVERYTHING EVENTUALLY WANTS TO CONGREGATE OVER ON THE WEST COAST. COULD EVEN SEE SOME FEISTIER STORMS OVER ON THE WEST COAST. BUT THE HIGHEST CHANCE OF RAIN IS STILL BASICALLY LOW FOR US OUTSIDE THIS MORNING. OCALA. GOOD MORNING TO YOU, MY FRIENDS. SITTING AT 79 DEGREES IN ORLANDO, 76 IN OCALA, 79 IN WILDWOOD AND 82 IN DELAND. BUT YOU FACTOR IN THE HUMIDITY. FEELS LIKE 87 IN DELAND, FEELS LIKE 89 WITH THAT HEAT INDEX THIS MORNING IN LEESBURG. THERE’S NOTHING ON OUR FIRST WARNING LIVE RADAR. SO IF YOU’RE WANTING TO HEAD OUT TO THE BEACHES TODAY, IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY. EVERYONE WANTS TO WORK OUT WEST SURF BREAKING 1 TO 2 SEAS FOR THE BOATERS. RUNNING ABOUT 2 TO 3, HEADING OUT TO THE ATTRACTIONS. ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE OPENS UP AT 9 A.M. AT 82 DEGREES. THAT WILL FEEL GOOD. REALLY GOOD COMPARED TO THIS AFTERNOON WHEN WE HAVE A FEW STORMS AROUND AND 98 DEGREES. GOOD GRAVY. KEEP HYDRATED MY FRIENDS. SEVEN DAY FORECAST SHOWING THAT RISING RAIN CHANCE INTO THE WEEKEND AND THAT RISING RAIN CHANCE AT LEAST HELPS TO LEVEL OUT THOSE TEMPERATURES JUST A LITT

Feels-like temps around 110 degrees across Central Florida | July 10 forecast

   Updated: 6:11 AM EDT Jul 10, 2026

  Editorial Standards ⓘ

Another hot day is expected in Central Florida, with temperatures reaching 98 degrees in some areas.
