CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK) \u2014 A judge will sentence Thomas Stein<\/a> on Friday morning for his alleged role in the death of 15-year-old Kayla Rincon-Miller<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rincon-Miller was shot and killed in Cape Coral two years ago while she was walking from the movies to McDonald’s with her friends.<\/p>\n

A jury found Stein guilty in May for first-degree murder<\/a> and attempted robbery. Stein is facing life in prison for the murder.<\/p>\n

In June, he sought a new trial, but it was denied<\/a>. His co-defendant, Christopher Horne Jr., was sentenced to 25 years in prison<\/a> after taking a plea deal.<\/p>\n

As part of that deal, Horne had to testify against Stein in his trial. He and a witness revealed that Stein pulled the trigger in the shooting that killed Rincon-Miller.<\/p>\n
