(WNCT) \u2014 On July 10th, Jacksonville police say a\u00a0pedestrian was struck by two cars at the intersection of Western Blvd and Gateway Drive S.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At approximately 12:27 a.m., members of the Jacksonville Police Department responded to a collision. An investigation revealed that a pedestrian had been walking in the roadway when they were struck by a Jeep Wrangler. Investigators say the driver, Christina Geffre,\u00a0stopped to help. Then the pedestrian was hit a second time by a different vehicle. The second driver failed to stop at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police say the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital and later died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Jacksonville Police is asking for help identifying the driver and vehicle that left the scene. The unknown vehicle was pulling an enclosed U-Haul trailer. This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Traffic Investigator I.
