The Orlando Pride rolled past the Kansas City Current 3-0 Friday night behind historic performances from Marta and Anna Moorhouse, plus another goal from league scoring leader Barbra Banda.<\/p>\n

It was a rubber match in the first half; both Kansas City and Orlando were scoreless, and neither squad could pop the bubble. But for Orlando, the history started the moment the whistle blew. Pride goalkeeper Anna Moorehouse made her 100th start for the Pride, becoming only the fifth player to do so, as well as recording 9 saves at the net, the most she’s recorded in a NWSL match ever. “Getting 100 games for this club is something I didn\u2019t think would happen coming in. I wasn\u2019t planning on being here so long, but Orlando is my home now, and I am really happy to be here and to achieve that milestone. I think defensively tonight we were all over them from back to front. To be honest, we had to dig in at times, and we had some moments where we had to do last-ditch tackles and stuff like that, but it felt like we were back to how we play, how we defend and how we score goals, and it is really encouraging to see,” Moorehouse said.When the whistle blew to begin the second half, Marta joined in on the history-making with a feat of her own. Banda\u2019s finish gave her the league lead with 12 goals this season.”I think she played 17 minutes and had three shots. I think two of her shots were within a minute of her entering the field. She is such a threat you can never not be aware of her. Even her goal that she scored comes from a long ball from Hailie Mace in behind and she made something out of nothing. She\u2019s a forward, she likes scoring goals and you could see tonight the hunger to get back into it. We missed her last week, but it was nice to have her available for 15 minutes.
