JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A woman was arrested after police say she shot two women during an argument at a Jacksonville party early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to the 1100 block of Murray Drive around 3 a.m. after receiving reports of a person shot.<\/p>\n
When they arrived, JSO said officers found a woman in her early 20s suffering from a single gunshot wound to the right side of her chest. She was then taken to a local hospital by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, where her injuries were listed as non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n

About 10 minutes later, JSO said officers were notified of a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital. JSO said officers quickly determined that the victim was also shot at the Murray Drive location. The victim, also a woman in her early 20s, suffered a single gunshot wound to the right side of her lower back, according to JSO, and also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Based on the preliminary investigation, JSO said there was a large party at a home on Murray Drive when an argument between the suspect and two victims escalated into a fight, which then led the suspect to shoot both victims.<\/p>\n
JSO said the suspect briefly left the area before returning and being taken into custody by officers.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.<\/p>\n
