{"id":339110,"date":"2026-07-14T00:37:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T00:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/339110\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T00:37:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T00:37:10","slug":"theatre-south-marks-100th-show-of-ride-the-cyclone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/339110\/","title":{"rendered":"Theatre South marks 100th show of &#8220;Ride the Cyclone&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatresouthplayhouse.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.theatresouthplayhouse.org\/\">Theatre South Playhouse<\/a> will mark the 100th performance of its production of \u201cRide the Cyclone\u201d on Friday, July 24.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The Orlando production opened in February 2024 and has generated more than $180,000 in ticket sales, according to the theater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The dark comedy musical follows members of a Canadian high school choir who die in a roller coaster accident and are given a chance to argue why one of them should return to life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The July 24 performance will include a post-show cast discussion, a role-swap cabaret and other activities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The show returns for 12 performances across select weekends in July and August at Theatre South Playhouse, 7601 Della Drive in Orlando.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The final performance is scheduled for Aug. 30.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wftv.com\/mobile-apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wftv.com\/mobile-apps\">Click here<\/a> to download our free news, weather and smart TV apps.
