GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A head-on collision in Gadsden County early Monday morning left one person in critical condition and two others seriously hurt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n
The incident transpired at about 5:15 a.m. on U.S. 90 eastbound, west of River Birch Road, FHP wrote in a press release.<\/p>\n
A sedan, occupied by three Gadsden County men, departed from the inside westbound lane just before traveling into and across the center grassy median, troopers said.<\/p>\n
The sedan then entered the eastbound inside lane, which was occupied by a pickup truck driven by a Quincy man.<\/p>\n
Shortly after, the front of the sedan hit the front of the truck.<\/p>\n
Following the collision, the sedan rotated clockwise moments later and came to a final rest facing east, the press release wrote.<\/p>\n

The truck also came to a final rest facing east in the center median.<\/p>\n
As a result of the accident, the driver of the sedan was seriously hurt while one of the passengers was critically injured, per troopers. A second passenger was also seriously hurt.<\/p>\n
The driver of the truck was left with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
All of those injured were transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and the next of kin has been notified for each of them, according to an FHP spokesperson.<\/p>\n
The crash caused all lanes to close temporarily just before reopening around 8:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
