If you\u2019ve been to Magic Kingdom<\/a> recently, or the other Disney World parks, for that matter, you\u2019ve probably gotten used to seeing construction walls practically everywhere.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Chip n\u2019 Dale on Frontierland walkway<\/p>\n

One of the biggest construction projects happening right now is Piston Peak<\/a>, the new land taking the place of Rivers of America. Walls have been up for months now, so we\u2019ve gotten very used to them, but now there\u2019s something NEW that\u2019s changed in Frontierland<\/a>, and a lot of people aren\u2019t going to be happy about it. The walkway\/shortcut through the land has now been removed from the Magic Kingdom map.<\/p>\n

When we checked the My Disney Experience App today, we realized something looked different on the Magic Kingdom map. It took us a second to zoom in and really see what was different, but after comparing with old photos, it\u2019s official \u2014 the Frontierland walkway that runs alongside the former Rivers of America waterway has now been removed from the map.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>It\u2019s gone!<\/p>\n

As a reminder, this is what the map looked like back in December 2025, after Rivers of America had already been removed from the map, but the walkway was still in place.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Frontierland path (December 2025)<\/p>\n

This walkway has been a great way to bypass some intense crowds that often bottleneck in this part of the park, especially now with the construction going on. The only part of the pathway still on the map is the section right near the water curve of Tiana\u2019s Bayou Adventure.<\/p>\n

So, what does this mean? For right now, the majority of the pathway is still currently available in Magic Kingdom and hasn\u2019t been closed off. With it removed from the map, though, it leads us to believe that it\u2019s very possible Disney will soon close off the walkway and remove the shortcut as part of the Piston Peak construction.<\/p>\n
