{"id":339502,"date":"2026-07-14T12:00:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T12:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/339502\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T12:00:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T12:00:12","slug":"girl-12-shot-while-sitting-in-parked-car-in-northwest-miami-dade-deputies-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/339502\/","title":{"rendered":"Girl, 12, shot while sitting in parked car in northwest Miami-Dade, deputies say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0July 14, 2026 at 7:19 AM<\/p>\n<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Updated:\u00a0July 14, 2026 at 7:25 AM<\/p>\n<p>A 12-year-old girl was shot in the arm after gunfire erupted in a Northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood early Tuesday, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff&#8217;s Office.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.  \u2014 A 12-year-old girl was shot in the arm after gunfire erupted in a northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood early Tuesday morning, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies said they responded just before 1 a.m. to the area of Northwest 64th Street and Northwest 21st Avenue in the county\u2019s Gladeview area, where they found three vehicles struck by gunfire, including a silver Hyundai.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThe car was parked outside of the residence. It was occupied by three juveniles, so it was the girl and her two siblings that were in the vehicle. The mom was outside of the vehicle at the time, so this could have been a very different outcome,\u201d MDSO Detective Samantha Choon said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Authorities said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue medics transported the girl to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Deputies confirmed that the victim has since been released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">They said neither her siblings nor their mother was injured in the shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to investigators, no arrests have been made, and detectives have not released any suspect information at this time. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators asked neighbors to check their surveillance or Ring camera footage from around 1 a.m. and contact authorities with any information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
