A 12-year-old girl was shot while sitting in a car with her two siblings outside a home near Liberty City early Tuesday morning, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

The girl was shot in the \u201cupper extremities,\u201d in the area of Northwest 21st Avenue and 64th Street, according to MDSO spokesperson Samantha Choon. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the girl to the hospital where deputies say she is now in stable condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe mom was outside of the vehicle at the time, so this could have been a very different outcome,\u201d Choon told reporters at the scene of the shooting. Neither the mom nor the other two children were injured.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made and deputies have yet to release any information on the shooter.<\/p>\n
