A new modern Spanish concept from the folks that brought you Michelin-starred Rocca, Michelin-recognized Bar Terroir, and Michelin Bib Gourmand Streetlight Taco, is opening this week in the North Hyde Park area.<\/p>\n

Lumbre,<\/a> the latest concept from local hospitality group Tastes Pretty Good, will officially open its doors on Wednesday, July 15.<\/p>\n

Located in the Rome Collective development, at 220 N Rome Ave., the new Spanish restaurant will be led by Executive Chef and Co-Founder Nick Orr, who previously helmed the kitchen at Rocca.<\/p>\n

\u201cNick Orr was my first hire and he\u2019s been core to Rocca\u2019s success ever since,\u201d says Bryce Bonsack, Culinary Director at Tastes Pretty Good, in a statement. \u201cHe\u2019s earned this opportunity through years of consistency, leadership, and craft. Lumbre is his moment to step forward and continue our team\u2019s work to shape Tampa\u2019s reputation as one of Florida\u2019s most compelling dining destinations.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lumbre\u2019s menu<\/a> is broken down into four sections: cheese and charcuterie, bocados, entrantes (starters), and platos principales (large format), and spans everything from \u201cwood-fired grilling, traditional paella, tapas featuring seafood and imported cheeses & hams and a full bar with Spanish wines and cider, and a fresh sangria to start the meal,\u201d says the press release.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Tastes Pretty Good announced the coming of its next concept, Rippers<\/a>, a new American-style restaurant moving into Clearwater\u2019s historic Telephone Building on Cleveland Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lumbre will be open Sundays through Thursdays, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Fridays through Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Reservations<\/a> are currently available.\u00a0<\/p>\n
