Community members will gather Sunday, July 19, for\u00a0The OMH Mahjong Social, a stylish morning of mahjong, connection, and philanthropy benefiting Our Mother\u2019s Home of Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n
Held from\u00a011 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Vybe in Fort Myers, the event will feature mahjong play, light bites and a cash bar in an intimate setting designed to bring together approximately 50 guests in support of a meaningful cause.<\/p>\n
With the tagline\u00a0\u201cPlay with Purpose,\u201d\u00a0The Mahjong Social offers both seasoned players and those curious to learn the opportunity to enjoy one of the nation\u2019s fastest-growing social pastimes while helping young mothers and their children build brighter futures.<\/p>\n
\u201cA seat at the table can change everything,\u201d\u00a0serves as the event\u2019s guiding message, reflecting both the spirit of the event and the mission of Our Mother\u2019s Home.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2000, Our Mother\u2019s Home of Southwest Florida is the only organization of its kind in the region dedicated to empowering young mothers involved in the foster care and human trafficking systems to break the generational cycle for themselves and their children. Through its Mentored Living Program, residents receive housing, educational support, parenting instruction, life skills training, counseling, and the resources needed to achieve long-term independence.<\/p>\n
