The family was visiting Florida to celebrate Brayden\u2019s 3rd birthday, which would have been on Tuesday. GoFundMe<\/p>\n
Brayden was \u201cvery smart\u201d and just a \u201cvery happy baby,\u201d according to his unidentified sister. WESH<\/p>\n
\u201cBrayden was 2 years old. He was a real sweet child. Real friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n
The happy tot \u201cwould go up to kids and want to play\u201d and loved snacks \u2014 especially gummy fruit snacks and cookies, according to the aunt.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe used to say, \u2018Auntie, I want a snack!\u2019 He loved those gummy snacks in the pack.\u201d<\/p>\n
The family was staying at the Cove East at Storey Lake in Kissimmee, Florida. WESH<\/p>\n
\u201cWe love him, and we\u2019re gonna miss him,\u201d the heartbroken aunt added.<\/p>\n
In a statement to the outlet, Brayden\u2019s sister remembered the toddler as \u201cvery smart\u201d and just a \u201cvery happy baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI remember we used to come from school & he used to be waiting on us at the door screaming because he was happy to see us,\u201d the unidentified sister wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hate that this happened to him,\u201d Brayden\u2019s heartbroken sister said in a statement. WESH<\/p>\n
\u201cHe always loved eating all my food. He was just learning how to say my name & learning how to go to the bathroom by himself.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI hate this happened to him,\u201d the grieving sister added.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to investigators, the firearm belonged to Brayden\u2019s mother and was left in the car with the two children while the adults went to check into the rental property.<\/p>\n
The shooting took place around 4 p.m. Sunday. WESH<\/p>\n
\u201cAs they arrived at their destination, the two-year-old was left in the car, and a four-year-old family member entered the vehicle and located an unsecured, unholstered handgun,\u201d an OCSO spokesperson said Monday.<\/p>\n
\u201cFamily members were outside of the car and had not yet entered the home, when they heard a gunshot coming from inside the vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 2-year-old was rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, where he was tragically later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
The Osceola County Sheriff\u2019s Office said charges are possible. WESH<\/p>\n
One family member was also taken to the hospital with chest pains amid the extreme distress caused by the incident, the sheriff\u2019s office spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
