{"id":340835,"date":"2026-07-15T12:38:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T12:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/340835\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T12:38:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T12:38:10","slug":"shooting-near-fort-lauderdale-leaves-1-injured-as-broward-deputies-investigate-two-scenes-connected-to-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/340835\/","title":{"rendered":"Shooting near Fort Lauderdale leaves 1 injured as Broward deputies investigate two scenes connected to incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deputies with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/broward-county\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Broward<\/a> Sheriff&#8217;s Office were seen in two areas of the same neighborhood while they investigated an overnight shooting near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/fort-lauderdale\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Fort Lauderdale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to information provided by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/broward-sheriffs-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Broward Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/a>, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 2800 block of Northwest 6th Court in unincorporated Central Broward just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/cbsmiami-broward-shooting-2.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"cbsmiami-broward-shooting-2.jpg \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  One person was injured in a shooting in Central Broward on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, according to the Broward Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>When deputies arrived, they located a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">shooting<\/a> victim in the area of Northwest 7th Street and Northwest 29th Terrace.<\/p>\n<p>Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue took the unidentified victim to a hospital to be treated for injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives with BSO&#8217;s Crime Scene and Violent Crimes unit were notified, and continue to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>SUV found riddled with bullets in neighborhood near Fort Lauderdale<\/p>\n<p>Deputies were seen focusing their attention on an SUV that was riddled with bullets in the neighborhood west of Interstate 95 between Sunrise Boulevard and Broward Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p>The street where the SUV was located was on Northwest 29th Terrace.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/cbsmiami-broward-shooting-1.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"cbsmiami-broward-shooting-1.jpg \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  A shooting investigation took place in unincorporated Central Broward near Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>                CBS News Miami<\/p>\n<p>About one block to the east and one block south, another scene was taped off with yellow crime scene tape.<\/p>\n<p>At that scene, dozens of evidence markers and bullet casings were seen on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>CBS News Miami spoke with a neighbor in the area who said he heard the shooting take place.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was sleeping and all of a sudden my four year old was like, &#8216;Daddy!
