Universal shared the update through its official UOAP (Universal Orlando Annual Passholder) channel. The message tells passholders the attraction is closing \u201cnext month.\u201d It sets a firm last operating day of August 16th.<\/p>\n
Universal had previously announced a 2027 closing timeframe for Supercharged. Generously, that meant January, which means that the closure has been moved up by at least 5 months. <\/p>\n
Universal frames the closure as clearing the way for Hollywood Drift. The new outdoor coaster continues construction on the site of the former Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. Universal has not shared an opening date beyond a general 2027 target.<\/p>\n
The passholder message also teased a closer look at Hollywood Drift, though Universal gave no date for that reveal. Universal\u2019s note skips any mention of send-off plans for Supercharged, if it has any planned.<\/p>\n
