(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\">WWSB<\/a>) &#8211; The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical disturbance over the northern Gulf of Mexico, Florida, and Atlantic coastal waters for possible development over the next seven days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The low pressure system carries a 10% chance of developing tropical characteristics, according to forecasters. Despite the low development probability, the system could still bring rainfall to Florida and potentially surrounding areas as conditions evolve.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/weather\/hurricane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/weather\/hurricane\/\">WWSB ABC7 Hurricane Page<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWhile we\u2019re not expecting anything significant, this system could deliver some much-needed moisture,\u201d First Alert Weather said. \u201cResidents should prepare for rain and breezy conditions as the system moves northeast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Forecasters said the disturbance could bring needed rainfall to the region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Residents are encouraged to monitor First Alert Weather for updates on timing, rainfall amounts, and potential impacts.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WWSB.
