TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Washington, D.C., is once again considering making daylight saving time permanent. This time, they are one step closer as the House passed the \u201cSunshine Protection Act\u201d on Tuesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Each November, the clocks \u201cfall back\u201d, returning to standard time. This puts sunrise around 7:16 a.m. for Tallahassee and sunset at 5:35 p.m.<\/p>\n

The law, if passed, would keep us from going back to standard time, so our new sunrise time in December would be closer to 8:30 a.m., and the sun would stay out until 6:35 p.m. <\/p>\n

Here are the sunrise and sunset times for Tallahassee with daylight saving time and standard time, and the proposed sunrise and sunset if we stay on daylight saving time.<\/p>\n

In Tallahassee, the earliest sunset would be 6:35 p.m. in early December and the latest sunrise would be 8:35 a.m. in early January, according to time and date.<\/a><\/p>\n
