Tymber Skan residents face uncertain future as Orange County advances demolition plan<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t*** woman who fought for years to try to save *** troubled condo complex says she’s ready to move on. This comes after Orange County leaders gave their approval yesterday for *** plan to eventually demolish the remaining buildings at the Timberscan condominium complex and sell the property. We first supported this plan moving forward last night. Westho’s Avery Everett spoke to *** woman today who owns *** condo there and says it’s time. The buildings need so much repair that it’s just there’s nothing we can do. It’s better this way. After years of trying to save the place, she calls home, Cynthia Clater says she’s made peace with saying goodbye. I knew there was trouble in here, but I Felt like it could be fixed at the time. She lives in the Timberskin condominium complex. On Tuesday, Orange County commissioners directed staff to move forward with *** plan to demolish the remaining buildings, relocate residents, and then sell the property. It’s time, in fact, it’s past time. Those people who are living there deserve. To have the opportunity to get out of there. When we last spoke to Clater at the beginning of 2025, she was still hopeful this complex could get help, but on Wednesday she said that feeling is long gone. We haven’t got the resources and we haven’t got the kind of help that we need to get out of here, I mean to get to fix this place up, and I said, OK, that’s it, we’re done. We can’t do no more, Clatter says. County communicated this plan before Tuesday’s meeting, but she still doesn’t quite know what happens next. They know that we’re too old for *** mortgage. We can’t do *** mortgage, so the commissioner and his team has been very helpful. Now she’s starting to pack up her life, but it’s impossible to take everything with her. So I had my daughter come out with my great grandbabies. And they were only 9 months, I think, and *** year old, and they put their handprints in my hallway, and they’re now 13 and 12, and um You know, that’s, that’s *** memory I can’t get back, she says.
