Registration is now open for two fall afterschool enrichment opportunities offered in St. Johns County schools through First Coast Cultural Center and LEE, Language Exploration Enrichment. Together, the programs give students creative ways to explore art, culture, language and self-expression after the school day ends.<\/p>\n
Through FCCC\u2019s Kick StART program, K-5 students participate in 90-minute weekly art classes held at their school. The program introduces students to master and local artists while building foundational art skills, including line, shape, color and texture, through a variety of mediums.<\/p>\n
Kick StART will be offered at PVPV\/Rawlings Elementary School, Ocean Palms Elementary School, Freedom Crossing Academy and Lakeside Academy. Programs meet weekly at school sites, with registration details available at https:\/\/firstcoastculturalcenter.org\/programs-events\/kick-start.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to bring another year of creative learning to students through Kick StART and to partner with LEE to promote learning through the arts,\u201d according to Silvia Romero, executive director of FCCC.<\/p>\n
The fall offerings also include LEE, encouraging students to explore the Spanish language and cultures, use art and literacy to promote kindness and tolerance, and develop skills that support participation in a global society.<\/p>\n

LEE will be offered at Cunningham Creek Elementary School, Freedom Crossing Academy, Julington Creek Elementary School, Ketterlinus Elementary School, Lakeside Academy, Ocean Palms Elementary School, Palm Valley Academy, PVPV\/Rawlings, Sabal Crest Academy, The Nest CS and Treaty Oaks Preparatory Academy.<\/p>\n
