{"id":342596,"date":"2026-07-16T20:18:36","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T20:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/342596\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T20:18:36","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T20:18:36","slug":"tote-services-in-jacksonville-reels-in-sizable-navy-contract-for-vessel-construction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/342596\/","title":{"rendered":"Tote Services in Jacksonville reels in sizable Navy contract for vessel construction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A $2.2 billion contract is heading to one of Jacksonville\u2019s leading maritime companies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The U.S. Navy has agreed to the contract with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toteservices.com\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Tote Services LLC<\/a> of Jacksonville. The deal provides the funding to Tote, which will be in charge of constructing what\u2019s called Medium Landing Ships (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/crs-product\/R46374\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">LSM<\/a>) for the Navy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The LSM program includes a multiship effort at several shipyards involving suppliers, designers, manufactures and other stakeholders. Tote will provide an overarching management structure coordinating government standards, shipyard construction and ending with delivery of the vessels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis is a tremendous responsibility and a defining moment for American shipbuilding,\u201d said Jeff Dixon, President of Tote Services. Tote was awarded the contract through the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afacpo.com\/mpm\/2026\/01\/02\/establishment-of-portfolio-acquisition-executives-paes\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">PAE<\/a>) Maritime, the administrative office that oversees the work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe look forward to collaborating with and supporting PAE Maritime as we work together on LSM. The U.S. is counting on this program to succeed, and our job is clear: steward the work responsibly, cultivate the best talent and expertise, move with urgency, and deliver for the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottsingerusa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer nofollow\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-793950 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Singer-728x90DigitalAd-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tote\u2019s role will be the Vessel Construction Manager on the project. The contract calls for new construction of eight LMS. The vessels will support a larger 35-ship fleet for the Navy and U.S. Marine Corp.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While Tote will be the main contractor on the project, PAE Maritime will award and oversee subcontractors to work on the construction of the ships.
