It\u2019s LeBron watch Day \u2026 something. (We lost count.) The NBA\u2019s all time leading scorer has yet to choose a team, but he has begun dropping some \u00a0hints.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Thursday, James made his first public appearance since informing the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> of his plans for the 2026-27 season. James, 41, ended his run with the franchise after eight seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The page has now turned, and James is hearing the noise loud and clear. He mentioned the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a>, Golden State Warriors<\/a> and Miami Heat<\/a> as he played off the energy of the New York crowd. James didn\u2019t reveal his decision, but he did let the world know (thanks to a young fan\u2019s question) what he aims to deliver to his next team.<\/p>\n

GettyHeat general manager Pat Riley made it clear that the team is attempting to sign LeBron James<\/a> in free agency.<\/p>\n

Much has been speculated about what James is looking for in his next team, from wanting basketball happiness to competing for a fifth NBA<\/a> championship. When asked about his free agency decision-making process, James revealed<\/a> what he hopes to bring to the franchise he chooses to represent next.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a big decision,\u201d James said Thursday. \u201c\u2026 It\u2019s a big decision for not only myself but my family as well and for the last part of my career and where I want to spend the last few years, or the last year, or the last two years of my NBA career. Where I go, I will make my staple on \u2014 I\u2019m a natural born leader. Im\u2019a try to fit into whatever team I\u2019m going into but also give them all the tools and all the knowledge that I\u2019ve been able to grasp over the last 23 years. I know the game. I know the ins and outs about the game of basketball.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plenty will get made about this response, but the least we know is that James wants to bring his psychological basketball expertise to the table. Could that mean James is eyeing a team that may be a leader away from winning a championship?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Miami\u2019s Wait for LeBron Continues\"Miami\"Miami<\/p>\n

GettyGiannis Antetokounmpo made his free agency pitch to LeBron James as rumors continue to link him to the Heat.<\/p>\n

One plane has landed, Heat president Pat Riley says. The hope is to land another. Hopefully that one will carry James.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Heat entered the offseason with strong intentions of making a needle-moving transaction. That goal was accomplished after the franchise acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a> from the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> in a seismic trade last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Antetokounmpo, the 31-year-old two-time league MVP, vastly boosts the Heat\u2019s chances of contending the Eastern Conference, but pairing him with James might just make the Heat a threat for the Larry O\u2019Brien trophy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

James has had strong interest in playing alongside Antetokounmpo, according to reports, and this offseason gives the four-time MVP the best chance to achieve that wish. Antetokounmpo, too, has vision to play with the man he grew up watching as a kid in Greece.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been over two weeks. James said he doesn\u2019t plan on keeping us waiting much longer. We\u2019ll see how well that statement holds up.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
