TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) \u2014 Spotty storms have already developed along the Nature Coast early this morning. They will drift south through the rest of the morning. Rain chances will increase to a 40% today for scattered storms, especially moving inland this afternoon.<\/p>\n
It will be warm and muggy with highs in the low 90s. Winds will be slightly breezier today as well. Winds will get even gustier going into the weekend and next week as our weather pattern becomes a little more unsettled.<\/p>\n
A front moves in from the north and will combine with a tropical wave from the south. This will enhance moisture over the northern Gulf, and winds will bring some of that moisture our way. The NHC gives this a 20% chance of organizing into something tropical.<\/p>\n
Regardless of development, rain chances will increase over the weekend, with the highest chance on Sunday and Monday. It will not rain the entire day, but downpours will produce heavy rain and frequent lightning as they pass by. The coverage of rain will be higher as well each day.<\/p>\n
With extra rain and clouds around at times, temperatures will be held in the upper 80s and low 90s, but it will still be quite humid.<\/p>\n
