The city of Sanibel will present a Sanibel Plan Update: Virtual Workshop on July 23 from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom for those unable to attend the Sanibel Plan Update: Community Workshop in June.<\/p>\n
The topic again will be \u201cShaping Our City \u2014 Collaborative Group Discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n
The workshop will use a dynamic, interactive format to ensure every attendee is heard.<\/p>\n
It will entail:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Brief overview of project progress, community input and steps moving forward<\/p>\n
\u2013 Group discussion on the key topics of land use, transportation and resiliency<\/p>\n
\u2013 Provide a summary of key issues identified for each topic<\/p>\n
In addition, attendees will hear a summary of community input received to date.<\/p>\n
\u201cPublic participation remains an essential part of the planning process, ensuring the updated Sanibel Plan continues to reflect the community\u2019s vision while protecting the island\u2019s unique environment, character and quality of life,\u201d the city shared.<\/p>\n
