Florida Public Service Commission approves rate hike for TECO customers<\/p>\n
WMNF\u2019S Chris Young reports<\/a> the average Tampa Electric Company (TECO) residential customer will pay $5.51 more each starting January.<\/p>\n Mosaic makes $411 million profit in three months<\/p>\n The Tampa Bay area fertilizer maker posted revenue of nearly three-and-a-half billion dollars over those three months.<\/p>\n Disability rights groups challenge new Florida law<\/p>\n The group says the new law, which allows pregnant women to use parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities, violates federal protections.<\/p>\n Appeals court rejects request to block law that restricts people from China from buying property<\/p>\n The judge said the plaintiffs did not have standing to challenge the part of the law that prevents people \u201cdomiciled\u201d in China from buying property in Florida as they are not domiciled in China themselves.<\/p>\n Dems win big in Tuesday\u2019s elections<\/p>\n Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani won the mayoral election for New York City and will be the city\u2019s first Muslim, of South Asian heritage or born in Africa.
