\u201cThe female victim advised that she and the defendant had an ongoing history of personal conflict,\u201d the police officer wrote, according to the report. \u201cShe stated that they had been involved in multiple prior altercations and that the defendant had repeatedly attempted to initiate physical fights with her before.\u201d<\/p>\n
At 5:30 a.m., on May 9, Wright was driving the Chevrolet Impala westbound on Davis Parkway, according to the police report. <\/p>\n
The surveillance video shows Wright \u201cmake only a minimal stop at the stop sign\u201d at Sixth Avenue, according to the police report. <\/p>\n
The video shows Wright \u201caccelerate into the intersection as both victims were actively crossing within the marked crosswalk\u201d and \u201cstriking the male victim, causing him to become airborne before landing on the roadway,\u201d according to the report. <\/p>\n
The man had to be hospitalized after he suffered fractured ribs and a neck injury, according to police officers. <\/p>\n
A detective questioned Wright and arrested her at 12:55 p.m. on Thursday at the Florida City Police Department\u2019s headquarters at City Hall at 404 West Palm Drive, according to the police report. <\/p>\n
Correctional officers booked Wright shortly before 5:40 p.m. on Thursday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Doral, according to Miami-Dade inmate records. <\/p>\n
Prosecutors filed a case against Wright on Friday, and she faced charges of attempted felony murder with injury and attempted felony murder, according to Miami-Dade court records.<\/p>\n
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Maria Gonzalez was set to preside over the case. <\/p>\n
