OCOEE, Fla. \u2014 After more than 30 years, the city of Ocoee said it will not be holding its annual Music Fest this fall.<\/p>\n
The event grew out of Ocoee’s Founders Day and was meant to bring the community together through music and celebration.<\/p>\n
This year, though, city officials said they’re choosing to pause the event because of “economic uncertainty.”<\/p>\n
That’s likely a reference to the property tax reform referendum that will be on the ballot this November, which could lead local governments to take in less revenue, if it passes.<\/p>\n
In its place, Ocoee intends to hold multiple smaller music events throughout the year.<\/p>\n
