{"id":345462,"date":"2026-07-19T19:38:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-19T19:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/345462\/"},"modified":"2026-07-19T19:38:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-19T19:38:08","slug":"man-arrested-accused-of-assault-and-battery-after-attack-on-dog-owner-in-wynwood-wsvn-7news-miami-news-weather-sports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/345462\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested, accused of assault and battery after attack on dog, owner in Wynwood &#8211; WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MIAMI (WSVN) &#8211; A man has been arrested after being accused of an <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/miami-dade\/i-was-all-bit-up-video-shows-aftermath-of-random-attack-that-left-dog-owner-with-injuries-in-wynwood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">attack on a man and his dog<\/a> in Wynwood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">44-year-old Jack Jonte faces multiple charges including aggravated assault, battery, and resisting a police officer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident happened on Wednesday, along Northwest Second Avenue near 22nd Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The victim, Evan Motlong, said he was walking his dog when he encountered Jonte with two unleashed pit bulls who attacked his dog.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Motlong was calling police, he said that Jonte ordered the pit bulls to attack him, leaving him unconscious.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motlong was left with fractures on his face and other injuries, and his dog is recovering from a broken leg.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
