READ MORE: More women say a South Florida psychiatrist asked them to remove clothes<\/a><\/p>\n One Saturday in Hialeah<\/p>\n According to an arrest report, an 11-year-old girl\u2019s mother told Hialeah police that Vandama, a relative, came by the house on March 21, a Saturday, to \u201chelp move furniture.\u201d After he left, she said, her daughter \u201ctold her (Vandama) touched her inappropriately throughout the time he was at their home.\u201d<\/p>\n The mother asked her daughter where Vandama touched her.<\/p>\n \u201cShe said he grabbed her waist to kiss her neck,\u201d the arrest report said, \u201che felt on her bottom, and he kissed her between her breasts.\u201d<\/p>\n This was on April 2. On May 28, Hialeah police asked Vandama to speak with him and, the arrest report says, he came by the police station around 5:30 p.m. When detectives brought Vandama into the interview room and informed him of his Miranda rights, he availed himself of his right to remain silent. Hearing the charges, the arrest report said, changed Vandama\u2019s mind.<\/p>\n Vandama\u2019s account, according to the arrest report: He got to the house on March 21, went in with a key the child\u2019s mother and grandmother had given him and \u201cbegan drinking that morning at approximately 11 a.m. and does not remember anything that occurred the rest of the day.\u201d<\/p>\n And, the next day, when he went back to the house, the girl\u2019s mother and grandmother approached him with the accusations from the girl.<\/p>\n \u201c(Vandama) said he explained to them that he did not remember doing or saying anything the night before due to his inebriation and apologized for his behavior,\u201d the arrest report said.<\/p>\n
