MIAMI (TNND) \u2014 One of the world’s most polarizing influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, were arrested Saturday evening in Miami as the British authorities sought their extradition on rape and sex trafficking charges. <\/p>\n
The Tate brothers are known for promoting their wealth, male dominance and misogyny online.<\/p>\n
he brothers were taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service on a sealed warrant which put the U.S. at the center of a complicated legal saga spanning from Romania to Britain. British prosecutors announced they are seeking the brother’s extradition on charges that alleging that the brothers raped and trafficked women between 2010 and 2017. <\/p>\n
The Tates, who are dual U.S. and British citizens, moved to Romania in 2016. They were arrested in Romania in 2022 and accused of participating in schemes to lure in women for sexual exploitation.<\/p>\n
The two denied the allegations.<\/p>\n
Last year, the brothers were allowed to leave Romania and travelled to Florida on a private jet.<\/p>\n
