A crash involving a Cape Coral patrol vehicle late Sunday night left one person seriously injured, with Florida Highway Patrol investigating the cause.<\/p>\n

One person was seriously injured in a crash involving a Cape Coral police officer late Sunday night.<\/p>\n

The crash happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard and Veterans Parkway in Cape Coral.<\/p>\n

Florida Highway Patrol said the officer involved in the crash had minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries.<\/p>\n

The front of the patrol vehicle was destroyed, and the other car suffered significant damage.<\/p>\n

FHP said the crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
