Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Judge Thomas Rebull to the Third District Court of Appeal, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Kevin Emas.<\/p>\n

Rebull, of Miami, has served on the 11th Judicial Circuit Court<\/a> since 2011. During his tenure, he has handled cases in the complex business litigation, civil, criminal and appellate divisions, according to the appeals court.<\/p>\n

The Third District Court of Appeal<\/a> hears cases from Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.<\/p>\n

Before joining the bench, Rebull was a partner at Nelson Mullins<\/a>. He earned his bachelor\u2019s degree from Boston University and his law degree from American University\u2019s Washington College of Law.<\/p>\n

Rebull becomes the 45th judge to serve on the Third District Court of Appeal. His appointment was announced by the governor\u2019s office<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Gov.
