Disney World<\/a> has been seeing a lot of construction over the course of the year, and while the parks have been seeing a lot of change, there has been a lot going on outside of the parks as well.<\/p>\n

\"\"Construction at Lakeshore Lodge<\/p>\n

One thing in particular that we are very excited about is a new resort. Disney\u2019s Lakeshore Lodge<\/a>\u00a0is being built on Bay Lake next to\u00a0Disney\u2019s Fort Wilderness<\/a>, and we\u2019ve been following along with its construction progress for a while. Well, we have some more updates to show you!<\/p>\n

Lakeshore Lodge is said to immerse guests in nature and wildlife, and you can see that in all the designs in the concept art. The resort will feature several pools, a splash pad, and a lazy river.<\/p>\n

Thanks to @bioreconstruct via X, we have a completely new look at the new resort on the way. We\u2019ve seen the resort and its construction from the ground, but now we have some new aerial shots.<\/p>\n

The aerial photos captured construction at The Wetlands, which is the main pool area of Lakeshore Lodge<\/a>. It\u2019s coming together nicely!<\/p>\n

The pool area will have a lazy river and water slide, themed to Disney\u2019s animated classic Pocahontas. Disney describes The Wetlands as \u201ca sweeping outdoor recreation area just beyond the lobby that\u2019s surrounded by the beauty of Bay Lake.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are going to be three areas at The Wetlands. The Heron Shores\u00a0will have exploration and hands\u2011on play with climbing features. The\u00a0Otter Springs\u00a0will offer interactive water features where little ones will be able to cool off as they splash and slide. Then, the lazy\u00a0Daydream River\u00a0will have guests sitting back and relaxing as the current carries them through the recreation area, offering views of the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n

@bioreconstruct noted in one post that \u201cthe dock seems complete, except for the roof of the shelter.\u201d<\/p>\n

We also got a close-up aerial look at the quiet pool at the resort.<\/p>\n

Disney said the Lakeside Lagoon\u00a0will be the heart of The Wetlands. That\u2019s where you\u2019ll find the resort\u2019s zero\u2011entry feature pool, complete with a spiral waterslide. On the opposite side of the resort, you\u2019ll find the Perspective Pond, which will be home to a leisure pool and whirlpool spa. It\u2019ll be a great spot for views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks in the evenings.<\/p>\n
