St. Petersburg, FL – A St. Petersburg man has been arrested after investigators said he allegedly damaged a downtown luxury condominium building in an incident that caused tens of thousands of dollars in property damage.<\/p>\n
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department arrest report, 34-year-old Andrew O\u2019Neill was identified as one of two men connected to the July 11th vandalism investigation at 400 Central Avenue.<\/p>\n
Police said surveillance video captured O\u2019Neill and another man allegedly removing an exterior light fixture from the building and using it to strike windows multiple times. <\/p>\n
Investigators estimated the total damage from the incident at approximately $96,000.<\/p>\n
The arrest report states that several windows were damaged during the incident, with each window valued at about $25,000. <\/p>\n
O\u2019Neill was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief related to the reported property damage.<\/p>\n
Authorities also identified James Boyle as a second person involved in the investigation. <\/p>\n
According to jail records, Boyle had not been arrested as of the latest available information.<\/p>\n
Police have not released a possible motive for the reported vandalism.<\/p>\n
The allegations against O\u2019Neill are based on information contained in the arrest report, and the case will proceed through the court system.<\/p>\n
