Years after launching\u00a0the company, Empire Pros Roofing celebrated the renovation of its Apopka office Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the\u00a0Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company, owned by Ricardo\u00a0Lopez Sandoval\u00a0and Amanda Feliciano,\u00a0moved its office\u00a0to Apopka two years ago after leasing office space in Altamonte Springs. Today, it employs 25 people and serves homeowners throughout Central Florida.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For Feliciano, opening the business in Apopka was personal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cRicardo and I\u00a0met at Apopka High School,\u201d she said. \u201cThis has been our hometown forever\u00a0\u2026 We married, we had kids, and then we opened the business and established it in Apopka.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The business was\u00a0registered on Oct. 28, 2019, but its story began years earlier.\u00a0Lopez Sandoval\u00a0learned\u00a0the roofing trade from his father, who introduced him to the industry as a teenager.\u00a0In the years surrounding his father\u2019s death during the COVID-19 pandemic,\u00a0Lopez Sandoval\u00a0pursued his contractor\u2019s license and launched his own company\u00a0with Feliciano\u2019s support.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a family business from the beginning,\u201d Feliciano said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although headquartered in Apopka, the company serves customers throughout the region rather than concentrating on one community.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The office renovation, which took about three months to complete, included fresh paint, updated signage and a company rebranding that resulted in the current name, Empire Pros Roofing. Feliciano said the goal was to create a more welcoming and professional environment for customers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think to make it more familiar and more welcoming, we wanted to be more professional \u2026 whenever any family or anybody from our community\u00a0come\u00a0in and\u00a0feel\u00a0comfortable in our space,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While the office has a new look, the company\u2019s day-to-day mission has not changed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Feliciano said Empire Pros Roofing continues to focus on customer service while expanding its presence throughout Central Florida. The company is\u00a0hiring for\u00a0office positions and has experienced growth over the past several years, she said, adding that growth is measured not only by business volume but also by the relationships the company has built with customers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Feliciano said the company\u2019s long-term goal is to become more involved in serving the community, particularly after storms and other events that leave families in need.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a family company, we\u2019d like to give more,\u201d she said. \u201cRight now, we are just focusing on giving more \u2026 and just help out when Florida is going through the worst.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She said homeowners today are looking for contractors they can trust as insurance\u00a0regulations\u00a0and the roofing industry continue to evolve.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cClarity. They want clarity. They want honesty,\u201d Feliciano said. \u201cA lot of families are scared. A lot of changes are happening. Regulations are happening, and I\u2019m happy they are happening, so families can always get truth and honesty from contractors.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

During the ceremony,\u00a0Lopez Sandoval\u00a0thanked those in attendance for supporting the company and reaffirmed its commitment to serving the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to say that I\u2019m here to serve the community and do quality work for everyone,\u201d\u00a0Lopez Sandoval\u00a0said. \u201cAgain, thank you everyone for coming today and celebrating this day with us.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
