During a public hearing at the July 20 City Council meeting, council members agreed to annex 15.36 acres at 13200 Treeline Ave. from Lee County, adjoining 30.83 acres the city recently annexed.<\/p>\n<p>The city-owned property, just north of Daniels Parkway on Treeline Avenue, includes a large lake, natural wetlands and upland preservation areas.<\/p>\n<p>At a future City Council meeting, officials plan to rezone the property from Lee County General Interchange and Commercial Planned Development to the City of Fort Myers Recreation zoning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Fort Myers City Hall is shown in downtown Fort Myers.
