TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) \u2014 Tampa police officers reunited a mother and daughter after the child was locked inside a car at a gas station.<\/p>\n

In body camera video released Tuesday, the Tampa Police Department responded to a gas station after a mom reported that she accidentally locked her keys inside her car with her child still inside.<\/p>\n

The woman called 911 immediately and stayed with her child while waiting for officers to arrive.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow long has she been in there?\u201d an officer asked the mom. \u201cNot \u2026 As soon as we called you guys,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve heard parents talk about this, like, this is, like my biggest nightmare,\u201d the woman told officers.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, the video showed officers pop the SUV\u2019s door open.<\/p>\n

Tampa police said parents should call 911 immediately, stay with their child, create shade if possible, and watch for signs of heat-related illness if a similar situation occurs.<\/p>\n
