(WCTV) &#8211; The Second Chance Act is now in effect, a Florida law requiring first-time high school athletes to get EKGs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">EKGs can detect hidden heart conditions in young people that other medical check-ups don\u2019t see.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">These tests are quick and painless for those receiving them and can make a huge difference in saving lives. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It\u2019s something that hits close to home for one Tallahassee Family.
