JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Dolphins were honored with the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season. To earn the honor, a team has to maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.<\/p>\n
This past year, the Dolphins earned a 3.66 GPA for the 2025-26 academic year. Jacksonville has been recognized 12 times since the award was introduced in 1992, including seven of the last eight seasons.<\/p>\n
Not just recognized as a good academic squad, JU was one of the best in the Division I, earning a spot on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll for being in the top 20 percent amongst all teams in the division.<\/p>\n
“We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs,” said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon in the organization’s official statement.
