Family friends tell CBS News Miami the child was a little girl whose birthday is on Wednesday. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>North Miami Beach Police said the child was left unattended in the bathtub for a short time Monday evening at a home along Northeast 7th Court and 169th Street before being found unresponsive. <\/p>\n<p>Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived and began CPR, managing to get a faint pulse before rushing the girl to Jackson North Medical Center, where she later died.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbor Francine, who lives nearby, told CBS News Miami, &#8220;We&#8217;re devastated that a baby died,&#8221; she said. &#8220;A couple of minutes\u2014that&#8217;s too long to leave a baby unattended.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Friends of the family, who are observing a Jewish holiday, said the girl was the youngest of three children. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, it&#8217;s unclear whether the parents will face any charges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A one-year-old drowned in a bathtub inside a North Miami Beach home.
